Merging sequences

Darillian posted this 02 December 2015

Since effects like fade out always take the whole length of the sequence they are applied to, it would be really nice to be able to merge two sequences together (i.e. reverse a Split).

I have time lapse data that is split into different folders due to limitations of the Android app I'm using, so the workaround for this is to put them all into one folder, rename them sequentially and than import that merged folder into TLT.

We are completely reworking sequence interactions (and transitions) in the next release. This should make application more flexible for case you listed.

And which transitions were added for interactions !between sequences, or was no new versions since 2015? I can't find any of them... Will be nice to add transitions for sequences interaction with intersections in several frames (for i.e. - dissolve). And will be nice add different frame rate for sequence and for output, for i.e. - input sequence 10 fps, output format - 25 fps, and in that case need to add image morph or transformation for add some needed frames (or several options for choose).

We provided only a minor bug fix releases since this time. Building a new major release takes a lot of time.

We are going to add a few transitions that merge frames from 2 sequences (dissolve, etc)

Frame rates may be different for sequences and exported video now. You can easily add multiple sequences with different FPS (e.g. 10 fps, 20 fps and 30 fps). The software combines all these frames to an exported video at a fixed frame rate (30 or 24 fps depending from export format).

Interpolation of intermediate frames is in our roadmap. But there is no ETA for it because of the task complexity.
