I'm making vertical time lapses, as I'm going to display them on a portrait orientated monitor on the wall, so i need the output file to be 9:16 instead of 16:9. Is this possible? This is a deal-breaker for if i am going to buy the software or not.

Actually we added portrait orientations to list of supported aspect ration. Thus you can export videos directly from the application.
It's probably too late for you now, however I'd have suggested rotating the images so that the software renders the video 45 degrees clockwise from your intended end product then rotating the output video in another tool. There are loads of tools that can do this if you look around, and it is the only work around option you have as far as I can tell.
